HORIBA UK Limited was formed in 2012 with the merger of HORIBA Instrument Ltd, HORIBA STEC and HORIBA Jobin Yvon Ltd.  On 2nd January 2013 the HORIBA Medical business of HORIBA ABX S.A.S. in the UK was also incorporated into HORIBA UK Ltd. Today the UK operation is ISO 9001, 14001 and 17025 certified and takes care of four business sectors in the UK including analysers for the Automotive, Laboratory and the Environment.

Over 30 years ago HORIBA Instruments Ltd was established with less than 10 people as the UK subsidiary of HORIBA Ltd.

HORIBA STEC was responsible for the UK and Europe region for HORIBA STEC's product range of mass flow controllers and vaporizers.

HORIBA Jobin Yvon Ltd was established in 1989 as a subsidiary of HORIBA Jobin Yvon SAS (France). HORIBA Jobin Yvon is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of analytical and spectroscopic systems and components. The UK operation offers sales and support for HORIBA Scientific products.

HORIBA ABX S.A.S. are renowned specialists in the design and manufacture of automated in vitro diagnostic systems for hematology for over 25 years, with solutions for clinical chemistry for over 10 years, HORIBA ABX is now known as HORIBA Medical. From compact point of care (POC) to high throughput systems, HORIBA Medical has successfully developed an array of analysers and data management solutions to meet all needs, enabling analysis anywhere it is required.
