HORIBA France wins the Innovative Investment Trophy for its location in Loos

|   Press Release

Palaiseau, Saclay Campus, France, December 3rd, 2021

Organized every three years, the International Investment Trophy is awarded to foreign companies that have chosen to invest in the Hauts-de-France region over the past three years. These trophies are awarded by Nord France Invest, an economic promotion agency that promotes the establishment of companies in the Hauts-de-France region in France.

The prize for innovative investment was awarded to HORIBA France. At the beginning of 2020, despite COVID, the HORIBA group moved to the Eurasanté Park in Loos and built a new site with all of its Raman spectroscopy and AFM production activities, previously located in Villeneuve d'Ascq. Today, this 6,500 m2 site has about 100 employees.

"This site is designed to support R&D and production for Raman spectroscopy and nanoscopy activities. It was designed to accommodate at least a 30% growth in activity in the coming years," said Xavier Petit, Site Director.

"The Loos Center of Excellence is a pillar of the HORIBA Group's global growth by hosting flagship product lines that enable us to meet the needs of our customers in a wide range of growth sectors such as energy, semiconductors and life sciences," explained Laurent Fullana, President of HORIBA France.

During the December 3 ceremony, three other prizes were awarded. The Family Business prize went to SIAS France, a Korean family business specializing in ready-to-eat meals. The Territory Loyalty Award went to Saverglass, which specializes in the manufacture and decoration of high-end glass bottles. Finally, the Industrial Investment prize was awarded to Dickson Constant, which specializes in technical textiles for the home.
