Software Engineer - C++ Realtime Applications

Does your code improve lives?

Does your code fight pollution?

Does your code shape the future?

It could.

We're a software house working at the edge of vehicle development technology. We're looking for a software engineer who wants to improve lives by making journeys safer, cleaner and smarter.

Are you ready to take on new challenges, working with a diverse team to make a difference in the field of electrification and mobility? What about working in a culture that the team itself describes as open, supportive, flexible and forward-thinking? Are you inspired by applying the latest technologies to  innovative applications that impact society? Are you interested in delivering more value sooner, safer and happier?

We're currently growing our UK team and are looking for a Realtime Applications Developer working remotely with the occasional visit to our Worcester or Leicester offices. You'll be comfortable with C++ & QNX technologies (although other RTOS experience would work just fine) and preferably have some experience developing scientific or engineering applications in an agile environment (but it's not a deal-breaker). Our dev environment is designed by developers - so knowledge of source code control, test automation and build pipelines is useful. And a willingness to learn is essential. You'll join a global team, so travel is an option and occasional face-to-face meetings a necessity.

We need people who are smart, get things done, and who are happiest collaborating on complex problems with like-minded developers. We use the latest technology where we can, including cloud and containerization. Our dev teams are autonomous, learn from their mistakes, and practise continuous improvement.

We offer a wide range of benefits beyond remote working: salaries up to £60k, 26 days holiday plus additional loyalty days, pension contributions, health care, life assurance, self-directed time, and more. Plus an environment with many opportunities for learning and growth.

More importantly, we're shaping the future. Come with us.

To apply for this role, please send your CV to careers.hta(at)horiba.com.

At present, this role is only open to those with an existing right to work in the UK.
