Introduction to Raman Imaging: Emphasis on 2D Materials

|   Event

Beginning: 04/13/20

In this webinar, you will learn basic principles of applied Raman imaging and the importance of spectral resolution to image rendering. The effects of chemical bonding, strain and crystallite size will be addressed and we will show you how to image these characteristics.

In addition, we will discuss combined imaging by laser excited photoluminescence and Raman scattering of two-dimensional (2D) crystals to reveal the spatially varying solid state structure of these materials. The topics and content will be of value to researchers in industry and academia, materials scientists, characterization chemists and physicists, teachers and graduate students. Participants will learn about:

•    Raman spectral imaging
•    Combined photoluminescence and Raman imaging
•    Strain in solid state materials
•    Imaging spatially varying crystallite size
