Wavelength division multiplexer: WDM (1980)

Wavelength division multiplexing is used in the field of optical telecommunications to pass several signals of different wavelengths through the same optical fiber by mixing and recombining them using diffraction gratings. This technique was invented and developed by Jean-Pierre Laude, Director of Research.
