Considerations
A foreign substance visible from the surface of the pill could be specified for analysis simply by using the mouse to click the area displayed on the optical microscope image. By comparing the spectrums of the foreign substance and the background, it was possible to verify that the foreign substance was a stainless-steel material, for which the primary component was iron.
