Triax Series

Short Focal Length Triple Grating Imaging Spectrographs

Short Focal Length Triple Grating Imaging Spectrographs

The TRIAX series use special corrective optics that maintain an excellent image quality and resolution along the length of the slit as well as along the dispersion axis in the exit focal plane. Thus, a point source on the entrance slit is re-imaged as a point for every occurrence of its wavelength in the focal plane. This makes TRIAX instruments the ideal spectrographs for a wide application range of high resolution multichannel spectroscopy such as:

  • UV-NIR Absorption
  • Laser characterization
  • Fluorescence
  • Atmospheric studies
  • Source characterization
Segment: Scientific
Manufacturing Company: HORIBA Scientific

Key Benefits of the Triax Series Spectrometers:

  • Low cost triple grating spectrometer
  • Patented grating turret design
  • Good image quality
  • Monochromator or imaging spectrograph
  • Optional second exit port (Triax 190 )
  • USB interface

Gratings

There is a wide selection of gratings to choose from depending on optical requirements.  Gratings are 32 x 32 mm for the MicroHR. There are three different types of gratings available; classically ruled, holographic, and blazed holographic. There is also a flat mirror that may be ordered for the dual grating turret option. Please click on the link below to view all our grating options.

Computer Control

In addition to wavelength control the Triax Series has an optional automated turret control and automated control of the optional internal five position filter wheel. There are multiple software platforms to choose from for spectrometer control and acquisition. Please click on the link below to view all our software choices.

Raman and Resonance Raman Spectroscopy of Enzymes
Raman and Resonance Raman Spectroscopy of Enzymes
The TRIAX and iHR series spectrometers used in Raman system configurations provide superior imaging performance with no re-diffracted light and maximized optical throughput.
Photoluminescence and Photoreflectance
Photoluminescence and Photoreflectance
As a result of rapid development in semiconductor manufacturing, many types of optoelectronic devices such as laser diodes, LEDs, and high-electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs) are now fabricated by epitaxial-growth methods.
Photoluminescence of Semiconductors
Photoluminescence of Semiconductors
Photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL) is a powerful optical method used for characterizing materials. PL can be used to find impurities and defects in silicon and group III-V element semiconductors, and to determine semiconductor band-gaps.
