Our North American Automotive Test Systems group is searching for an experienced professional to support Quality and Environmental activities/projects, with the objective of driving sustainable continuous improvement. Scope of projects may focus on products, services, and/or organizational capability and targets opportunity for improvement in quality, environmental impact, delivery capability, and/or cost. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures internal audit program is in compliance with the current Quality and Environmental ISO Standard. Plans and conducts internal and supplier audits to Quality and Environmental system requirements. Measures effectiveness of corrective/preventive actions and produces performance metrics to department management.
  • Works with all levels of organization developing and revising procedures, work instruction and process maps as applicable.
  • Monitor quality and environmental functions by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. Collect and analyze quality performance data and charts against defined parameters and KPI’s.
  • Investigates and analyzes product and process failure, leads teams through the problem solving process of root cause analysis, compiles internal and external trend data for submission to all levels of the organization.
  • While this position is located in our Troy office, there will be some required travel to our Ann Arbor office as well.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of quality assurance, environmental and process improvement methodologies, as typically may be gained through a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current Lead Auditor accreditation to ISO 9001:2015.
  • An analytical approach to problem solving using a variety of root cause analysis techniques (including 8D, 5 Why, Cause and Effect, etc.).
  • Ability to measure performance, identify trends, understand system performance impacts, and translate key process indicators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate/train company personnel on quality and environmental system requirements.
