Overview

A new, high-performance polarimeter featuring a compact design!
The new SEPA-500 automatic polarimeter from HORIBA was developed based on an entirely new optical design. Polarimeters are essential when measuring the concentration or purity of sugars, amino acids, vitamins, alkaloids, hormones, and other optically active substances used in fields such as pharmaceuticals, sugar manufacturing, and the food industry. The new SEPA-500 is a highly advanced polarimeter that incorporates HORIBA’s unique technologies, based on expertise in optical design advanced through the development of previous models in the SEPA series. The SEPA-500 requires only half the footprint of earlier models, and twelve times the response speed and five times the measurement resolution. Now, you can take measurements more quickly, at higher resolutions, and in virtually any location. With direct measurement of sample temperatures and the adoption of a long-lasting LED light source, the SEPA-500 contributes to both increased measurement accuracy and reduced operating costs.

  • Smallest bench space requirement in its class.

By adopting a new light source and redefining the optical bench rotation mechanism, HORIBA has achieved the industry’s smallest footprint, at 1/2 that of existing models. The SEPA-500 can be installed almost anywhere.

  •  High response speed and high resolution.

In the new optical system, the optical detection system is rotated directly, enabling the industry’s fastest response, at 60° per second. At the same time, it offers a high resolution of 1/10,000 of an angular degree.

  • Data saved USB memory.

Stand alone operation withat a PC. Measurement results can be saved to the USB memory in CSV format. This allows you to process and store data on your own PC.
