MEXA-1170 Product Family

Overview

The MEXA-1170 series is a new product line that can operate as standalone instrumentation using their own pumps. Starting with software version 3.0 of the MEXA-7000 MCU, it is possible to control and display the MEXA-1170 via the MEXA. These models offer a wide range of flexibility of application and integration. All of the analyzers of the MEXA-1170 series are built into a 19" rack (except MEXA-1170HFID - optional). Data can be transferred via digital or analog outputs. The platform is intended to launch new specialty analyzers as they are being developed.

MEXA-1170HFID

The MEXA-1170HFID can be used for SHED, raw and continuous diluted measurements. With 14 measurement ranges from 10 ppmC up to 200,000 ppmC, this analyzer shows a broad dynamic range for a variety of engine development applications.

MEXA-1170HCLD (A or V- type)

The MEXA-1170HCLD uses an industry standard chemiluminescence detector for NO/NOx measurement. It is available as an atmospheric (A) and a vacuum (V) model. With nine ranges available from 10 ppm up to 10,000 ppm, these instruments are designed to fit most applications in the industry.

MEXA-1170NX

A new instrument that can measure ammonia (NH3) and NOx simultaneously is the MEXA-1170 NX analyzer. This instrument uses dual chemiluminescence detectors and a proprietary oxidation catalyst to measure ammonia. Optionally, this product can measure NOx and NO simultaneously with a simple setting change from the front panel. This dual-purpose analyzer is suitable for development of SCR and other after treatment systems.

MEXA-1170SX

The MEXA-1170SX is another recent addition to the family. This instrument measures sulfur for after treatment and transient lubricant oil consumption. The analyzer uses ultraviolet fluorescence (UVF) for detection. It can be operated in up to 3 modes: total sulfur mode, analyzing all sulphur compounds, in total reduced sulphur mode for all sulphur compounds disintegrated up to 600°C or in sulfur oxide mode. Any one of these modes can be selected by the user from a front panel interface (depending on type).
