SLIA-5000

Silica analyzer

Rapid automated measurement of trace silica in boiler water and purified water treatment systems.

In order to efficiently drive turbines using high-temperature and high-pressure steam in power plants such as thermal and nuclear power plants, it is crucial to manage silica (SiO2), which can be a major cause of scaling. Combining HORIBA's extensive track record and technical expertise, maintaining the stability, reliability, and maintainability of our previous models, while enhancing usability through the introduction of a touch panel interface.

Repeatability of ±2% full-scale (F.S.) with a 5-minute measurement

Quick acquisition of highly repeatable measurements can be obtained.

Wide measurement range

Capable of measuring a wide range, from a high-sensitivity range of 0 to 10 μg/L to a high-concentration range of 0 to 5.0 mg/L.

Anomaly detection function

Detects operational anomalies such as abnormal sample water or reagent injection, calibration issues, concentration limit anomalies, and light source abnormalities.

Automatic measurement cycle switching

Automatically switches the measurement cycle from a minimum of 5 minutes for concentrations above the set concentration to a longer cycle for concentrations below the set concentration. Reduction of running costs becomes possible through actions such as minimizing reagent usage.

Improved operability

Featuring a color LCD with touch panel operation.

OptionFilter for sample line
(For Line 1 to Line 4)

By installing about 5 μm cartridge filter in the upstream of the overflow tank, it is possible to prevent iron rust, etc. from entering the equipment.

  • Up to 2 filters can be built into the product.
  • If the optional filter is selected for the product of 3 or 4 measurement
points, the filter is not built into the product but is delivered individually as a single filter.
  • If a step-down transformer is installed (power supply voltage is other
than 100 V AC), a filter cannot be built into the product.
Flowmeter for sample
line
(For Line 1 to Line 4)
By adding this, you can accurately measure the sample supply flow rate.
  • When installing the analyzer, give careful consideration to its special characteristics and be sure to provide an environment where the equipment can operate properly.
  • Take appropriate action so that no damage will occur even when the equipment no longer operates correctly due to deterioration or the operational conditions of the equipment, or any unexpected phenomenon.
