The fiber multiplexer automatically routes the excitation laser light and collected Raman scattering signals between various sampling probes, allowing for sequential analysis of multiple locations within the process. This capability is especially valuable in complex processes where monitoring various streams, reactors, or stages of production is essential for comprehensive control and optimization. The fiber multiplexer is specifically designed to operate seamlessly across all channels and probes, ensuring that signal quality remains uncompromised across all of the sampling points of the analyzer's multiplexer. 

Integrating a fiber multiplexer into the PI-200-I transforms the analyzer into its fullest potential, creating a highly scalable system capable of handling large, distributed process environments automatically and with ease by the end user.

In Japan, naphtha is mainly used as the raw material for this process. In other countries, however, less expensive manufacturing of derivatives such as ethylene manufacturing from non-naphtha materials (e.g., shale gas and coal).
