FTIR Exhaust Gas Analyzer for Direct Exhaust Measurement

The FTX-ONE-CS/RS is a fast-response, compact FTIR analyzer for the simultaneous measurement of multiple components in engine exhaust gas. Designed for direct exhaust measurement, it helps engineers investigate rapidly changing emissions while minimizing the effect of sampling on engine combustion and catalyst performance.

Using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and multivariate analysis, the system provides a 5 Hz sampling rate and simultaneous measurement of components including NH3, CH4, and CO2. Configurable component sets support gasoline, diesel, CNG and ethanol applications.

The compact FTX-ONE-CS provides multi-component FTIR measurement in a standalone configuration. The rack-mounted FTX-ONE-RS combines the FTX-ONE-CS detector with dedicated THC and O2 measurement, enabling engineers to correlate fuel consumption, air-fuel ratio and individual emission trends through one integrated system.

As part of HORIBA ONE PLATFORM, the FTX-ONE-CS/RS can be integrated with other compatible HORIBA measurement systems through a common user interface. This enables centralized control, monitoring and management while supporting consistent laboratory operation and future system expansion.

Simultaneous Multi-Component Direct Exhaust Measurement

  • Synchronized data helps correlate emissions with engine operating conditions

Low Sampling Flow

The high-performance optical cell enables direct exhaust measurement with a low sample-flow requirement, reducing the potential influence of sampling on engine combustion and catalyst performance.

  • FTX-ONE-RS total sampling flow: approximately 8 L/min

FTX-ONE-RS

  • Combines the FTX-ONE-CS detector with dedicated THC and O2 measurement
  • Measures THC using heated flame ionization detection
  • Measures O2 using paramagnetic detection
  • Enables correlation of fuel consumption, air-fuel ratio and individual emission trends
  • Rack-mounted configuration for integrated measurement
  • Total sampling flow rate of approximately 8 L/min
  • Supports gasoline/diesel, CNG and ethanol component sets
  • Dimensions: 655 (W) × 850 (D) × 1,970 (H) mm, excluding protrusions
