Globally, CO2 emissions from the production process of cement and concrete amount to approximately 2.6 billion tons per year. This figure accounts for approximately 8%* of total global CO2 emissions. Companies are promoting the reduction of fossil fuel use by implementing energy-saving technologies and upgrades at various stages of the conventional process, including raw materials preparation, burning, and finishing. They are also advancing carbon neutrality by implementing efficient technologies to capture CO2 generated during each process.

HORIBA offers analytical solutions for the cement and concrete production process, from raw material evaluation and characterization through to final product quality inspection. Our measurement technologies enable O2 monitoring and high-concentration SO2 measurement for combustion optimization, as well as stack exhaust gas analysis to ensure environmental compliance.
