Yumizen H2500 Hematology Analyzer
Julu 2026 (PDF for print)
Patient Demography: Male, 59 years old, on chemotherapy
Diagnosis: Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma
Microscopic Review: Atypical lymphocytes 18%; neutrophils 22%; lymphocytes 44%; monocytes 15%; eosinophils 1%; and 1 NRBC/100 WBCs. The lymphocyte population is predominantly composed of mature small-to-intermediate lymphocytes with a high N/C ratio, dense clumped chromatin, inconspicuous nucleoli, and scant pale basophilic cytoplasm. The microscopic examination also shows admixed atypical lymphocytes, with a few cells demonstrating cytoplasmic blebbing and irregular nuclear contours.
How Yumizen can assist: On the DIFF scattergram, atypical lymphocytes are observed in the ALY matrix region. In addition, the LYM/MON interference alarm prompts further investigation for atypical or abnormal lymphocytes. On WBC differential count analysis, the ALY count is seen at the upper limit of the reference range, providing an indication of the presence of lymphoma cells and supporting long-term patient monitoring and prognosis assessment during chemotherapy.
