Tru-Image 2D Imager


Since the 1980s, Photo Research have lead the world in 2-D photometry and colorimetry. If you require multiple measurements from a display or instrument cluster then the 2-D Imager is essential; cutting down on the measurement time by a huge factor. The TRU-IMAGE captures the whole scene (both luminance and colour) in as little as 4 seconds; and then with the powerful  VideoWin 3 software you can analysis the data in as much detail as is required.

You can use line profiling, pseudo-colour imaging, multiple areas of regard, automatic character recognition and fiducial recognition amongst many other tools to analyse the image and generate parameters such as;-

  • Ave, Min and Max Luminance of the whole display
  • CIE 1931 x,y and 1976 u’,v’ chromaticity
  • Three-point averaging on individual characters
  • Correlated Colour Temperature, and
  • Dominant Wavelength

The data can be readily exported to EXCEL, and VideoWin 3 will generate a report including a full record of the analysis pathway with images and all parameters.
