Waste to Energy Power Generation

Turning Waste into Energy in Circular Economy

Waste to energy power generation uses waste as an energy source. Although it is attracting attention as a global warming countermeasure, its power generation efficiency is not so high compared to general thermal power generation; as a result, other technologies such as a waste-to-energy gasification plant that improves power generation efficiency are also demanded. In addition, plastics and other materials may be mixed into the waste that serves as the energy source, so treatment and monitoring of pollutants that originate from such waste are also required.

HORIBA's Solution & Contribution

HORIBA contributes to solving issues in waste to energy power generation by providing a wide lineup of analyzers such as the one that contributes to improving power generation efficiency as well as to the operation and management of flue gas treatment systems. We provide the analyzer for hydrogen chloride (HCl), which is not emitted from general thermal power generation but in waste to energy power generation.
