We are looking for an Application and Business Development Engineer to join our team in Irvine, CA. 

POSITION DUTIES: Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to identify customer requirements for scientific instrumentation used to measure, analyze and characterize particles within fluids. Plan and modify configurations of products for static and dynamic light scattering, dynamic image analysis, multi-spectrum nanoparticle tracking analysis, and surface area analysis. Provide technical guidance to non-technical sales and marketing team members and recommend solutions to meet customer needs and promote products. Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and presentations at conferences, company events and customer sites. Prepare and update installation and training materials for product users. Prepare and present training materials to customers and internal staff. Perform installation qualification, operational qualification and performance qualification validation of products sold and modified for customers. Evaluate and update qualification procedures to improve instrument efficacy. Install products at customer sites, and perform product testing and quality assurance on installed products. Provide product application support in laboratory and develop new applications to support new business directions. Research trends and competitors in the industry and recommend product and business development opportunities. 65% travel within the U.S. and Canada.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemical engineering or Chemistry and 24 months of experience in the job offered
