Our North American Industrial Process & Environmental Group is searching for a Field Service Representative to support the California Territory. Our Field Service Rep. will Install, repair and maintain HORIBA products at our customer sites; and perform in-house repairs and refurbishment as needed.

Essential Job Functions: 

  1. Installs, repairs and maintains HORIBA products at customer sites; performs in-house repairs of defective customer equipment.
  2. Maintains in-house repair facilities, including calibration, repair and maintenance of toxic gas monitoring system, maintaining inhouse test equipment, etc.
  3. Provides technical assistance to customers and HORIBA departments, including parts and technical question research and assisting with Requests for Quotations.
  4. Prepare Field Service Reports with sufficient detail for customer invoicing, warranty charges, labor and materials charges, and policy.

 

Skills/Experience Required: 

  1. Requires in-depth knowledge of electronics repair and ability to troubleshoot to component level; in-depth knowledge of electronic test equipment. 
  2. Must be able to work beyond a normal workday or work week, which is often required. 
  3. Must be able to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally. 
  4. Must be able to drive an automobile and possess a valid driver’s license.
  5. Must be able to obtain a passport.
  6. Must have a well-rounded knowledge of process systems and analyzers (NDIR, FID, and Chemiluminescent analyzers, PLC’s PC’s) including theory of operation, set-up, calibration, repair, diagnosing faults, etc.
  7. Experience with PLC programs, DAS operation and analyzers required.
