Dr. Salauat Kiraev completed his undergraduate studies at Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology in 2018 in Moscow. He then pursued his PhD in chemistry at Uppsala University in Sweden, investigating lanthanide photophysics, coordination chemistry, and the photoluminescence properties of synthetic compounds. In 2023, he moved to France to work with Dr. Olivier Maury at ENS de Lyon to develop bioimaging agents based on near-infrared emissive rare-earth complexes. His continued work in photoluminescence spectroscopy and solid experience with legacy instruments such as FluoroMax and Fluorolog led him to join HORIBA in 2025 as a fluorescence product specialist. He specializes in lanthanide emission spectroscopy and time-resolved techniques and has recently developed an interest in fluorescence and phosphorescence lifetime imaging.
