1000M Series

Monochromator, Long Focal Length Spectrometer

Long Focal Length Spectrometer

The M Series II monochromators are the large focal length monochromators of choice for the most demanding spectroscopy applications such as Raman, Plasma Emission, LIBS and others. With a spectral resolution down to 0.006 nm and an optional dual automated entrance and exit ports, the M Series II monochromators are the most versatile spectrometers in their market space. These monochromators also benefit from the highest quality of gratings, also designed and manufactured by HORIBA. The M Series is the ultimate spectrometer for ultra-high spectral resolution down to 0.006 nm and is ideal for applications such as:

  • Raman
  • Plasma emission
  • Photoluminescence
  • LIBS (Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy)
  • LIPS (Laser-induced plasma spectroscopy)
  • LIF (Laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy)
Segment: Scientific
Manufacturing Company: HORIBA Scientific

Key Benefits of the M Series Spectrometers:

  • Unmatched  spectral resolution down to 0.006 nm
  • Accurate drive scanner steps at just 0.00025 nm/step
  • Fully automated
  • Optional dual entrance and dual exit ports
  • Kinematic grating mount
  • USB 2.0 interface

Gratings

There is a wide selection of gratings to choose from depending on optical requirements.  Gratings are 32 x 32 mm for the MicroHR. There are three different types of gratings available; classically ruled, holographic, and blazed holographic. There is also a flat mirror that may be ordered for the dual grating turret option. Please click on the link below to view all our grating options.

High-Resolution Low-Temperature PL of Semiconductors
Temperature-dependent photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy is a powerful optical method for characterizing materials. PL can be used to identify defects and impurities in Si and III-V semiconductors, as well as determine semiconductor bandgaps. At room temperature, PL emission is usually broad—up to 100 nm in width.
