LA-910 Particle Size Analyzer (Retired)

The LA-910, a Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyzer first introduced to the market in 1994, reached its final End of Support in 2015 after over two (2) decades of service to our customers.

The LA-910 is an instrument with a proven history of reliability and robustness, covering one of the widest, groundbreaking dynamic range of 0.02 to 1000 microns during its lifetime. Its metal exterior houses silicon diode detectors for high-resolution measurement and two light sources: 405 nm halogen lamp and 633 nm He-Ne gas laser. Our service records showed that with routine and proper day-to-day operation, these lasers last an average of 7 years. The LA-910 is also equipped with many optional tools for both research and quality control environments. The dry powder feeder and autosampler (where up to 24 samples can be measured unattended) are two of the most popular accessories. We attribute this flexibility to the LA-910’s powerful user interface, of which, is compatible with Windows 3.1, 98, NT, 2000 through Windows XP.

The LA-910 is still regarded as one of the first examples of user-friendly and powerful particle sizing instruments. While its measurement methodology (Mie Theory) remains the same, the consumables, parts, and its operating computers are now obsolete.

We have retained the most celebrated qualities of the earlier models and built you our high-performance LA-960V2 Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyzer.
