Precise control of carbon concentration is critical in the production of tungsten carbide and other carbon-containing powders.
The EMIA-20XC from EMIA-Expert series is designed for the precise analysis of high-carbon-content materials, delivering accurate, highly repeatable results and reliable long-term reproducibility. Its dedicated XC detection unit, optimized for high-carbon applications, minimizes the effects of atmospheric pressure and temperature fluctuations, enabling consistent measurements in a short time. The built-in switching function also enables the analysis of carbon and sulfur at low-ppm concentrations, combining high-concentration carbon analysis with versatile carbon/sulfur measurement in a single system.

Main Features

RSD ≤ 0.15% and approximately 160 seconds in XC Mode

In XC Mode, the analyzer achieves a relative standard deviation (RSD) of ≤ 0.15% for high-carbon-content materials such as tungsten carbide. Results are displayed in approximately 160 seconds from measurement start.

2-in-1 Cemented Carbide Carbon and Inorganic Carbon /Sulfur Determination

By switching the modes, the EMIA-20XC supports both high-concentration carbon analysis and low-concentration carbon and sulfur analysis.

Optional autosampler is available.

The Gas Flow

Available Options

Auto Sampler

Up to 20 samples can be loaded. The system automatically places crucibles in the furnace and disposes of them after measurements. Measurements can also be manually interrupted when necessary.
