Empowerment of Diverse HORIBARIANs

To increase engagement and a sense of pride and joy that HORIBARIANs can feel in working for HORIBA, we will promote diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, a healthy and safe work environment, and measures to support the exercise of the “Spirit of Challenge,” which will be carried out. We will also work to continuously verify and improve the engagement of HORIBARIANs.

Global HORIBARIAN Exchange (GHE)

GHE creates opportunities for diverse global career development and challenges that transcend national and regional boundaries. Overseas Training Program is one of our GHE measurements which has been introduced openly for HORIBARIANs to develop a broad international perspective through work experience at HORIBA Group companies.

HORIBA Group Engagement Survey

HORIBA Group Engagement Survey is conducted to share and spread the corporate culture and to promote improvement initiatives based on the voices of HORIBARIANs. By continuously reviewing engagement and taking positive actions as a result of the responses received, we aim to create an environment in which diverse HORIBARIANs can proactively demonstrate their personalities, strengths, and abilities.

Cross Cultural Understanding

With the aim of creating an organizational culture in which all HORIBARIANs with diverse backgrounds can play an active role, we implement programs to learn how to communicate with others with different values and to understand each other's culture.

Receiving Internship Students

We accept internship students from universities not only in Japan but also from overseas universities to deepen students' understanding of the industry and HORIBA culture, and to support them in their studies and future. Their Spirit of Challenge is a great inspiration to HORIBARIANs.

Stained Glass Awards

Every year, the company presents an award to HORIBARIAN, who is engaged in their duties while having diverse backgrounds, such as illness, disability, childcare, nursing care, language, culture, and whose positive attitude has gained sympathy and respect of those around them. The name of the award comes from the diversity promotion project (Stained Glass Project), in which each employee is likened to a piece of stained glass of different colors, shapes, and sizes, and the company as a whole to a beautiful stained glass painting.
