SILICA ANALYZER

Quick and automatic measurement for boiler water, and trace amount of silica present in pure water.

Management of silica (SiO2) is paramount in preventing the formation of scales. This is because scales present in turbines will reduce the efficiency of power generation, especially for thermal power plants and nuclear power plants. By combining HORIBA's many years of track records and technological know-how, the silica analyzer has been reborn with conventional stability, reliability and maintainability.

  • ±2% F.S. repeatability with measurement time of 5 minutes
    Capable of obtaining high-speed, and highly repeatable measurement results.
  • Wide measurement range
    Measurement is possible from high sensitivity range of 0 to 10μg/L (ppb) to high concentration range of 0 to 5.0mg/L (ppm).
  • Self-diagnosis function
    Self-diagnosis of operation abnormalities such as water sample or reagent supply error, calibration error, light source error, and in-cell temperature error.
  • Automatic calibration function
    Zero calibration is performed automatically for each measurement. Span calibration can also be preset to perform at specific timings.
  • Automatic switching of measuring cycle
    Switching of measuring cycle automatically saves energy and reagents because measuring cycle is automatically shortened when the sample concentration exceeds the set concentration level, and automatically lengthened when the sample concentration goes below the set level.
  • Improved operability

By installing about 5 μm cartridge filter in the upstream of the overflow tank, it is possible to prevent iron rust, etc. from entering the equipment.

  • Up to 2 filters can be built into the product.
  • If the optional filter is selected for the product of 3 or 4 measurement
    points, the filter is not built into the product but is delivered individually as a single filter.
  • If a step-down transformer is installed (power supply voltage is other
    than 100 V AC), a filter cannot be built into the product.
