CC135 NIR - Advanced NIR Line scan Hyperspectral Imaging camera for Industrial Excellence - Product picture

Advanced NIR Line scan Hyperspectral Imaging camera for Industrial Excellence

Near-infrared (NIR) hyperspectral imaging reveals subtle variations in chemical composition, moisture content, process changes and material properties that are invisible to standard RGB cameras. It enables accurate sorting, quality control, and contamination detection across industries such as food processing, recycling, semiconductors, and pharmaceuticals.

HORIBA’s line-scan NIR hyperspectral platform features a proprietary optical design combining holographic gratings with advanced imaging architecture, delivering high image quality at high frame rates with excellent spectral and spatial resolution.

Designed for industrial environments, the system is housed in a rugged, vibration-resistant enclosure, making it ideal for inline inspection, sorting, and grading.

The platform is highly customizable, with options for slit or fiber input, reflective optics, grating and sensor selection to meet specific application requirements.

Applications

  • Food quality and safety inspection: detect bruises, ripeness, contamination, moisture, fat content, and defects
  • Monitoring moisture content in paper, wood, grains, and other materials.
  • Textile sorting and inspection: distinguish fibers, check fabric composition, and detect defects.
  • Pharmaceutical inspection: check tablet composition, coating uniformity, ingredient distribution, and counterfeit products.
  • Coatings and thin films: measure thickness and uniformity of coatings, films, and surface layers.
  • Surface and defect inspection: find contamination, discoloration, non-uniformity, or hidden defects on industrial surfaces.
  • Waste sorting: classify mixed waste streams for better recycling and recovery.
  • Construction materials sorting: sort wood, concrete, ceramics, roof tiles, and other building materials.
  • Forensics and security: detect drugs, counterfeit pills, and hidden substances.
  • Agriculture and phenotyping: assess crop health, water stress, and plant traits in industrial agri-processing.
