Patient Demography: Male, 62 years old
Symptoms: Fatigue and weakness
Diagnosis: Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)
Microscopic Review: Marked leukocytosis (328 x10³/µL) due to absolute lymphocytosis (95%). Presence of mature-appearing lymphocytes and atypical lymphocytes, with smudge cells (Gumprecht shadows), consistent with the history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Mild normocytic anemia is observed. Platelet count remains within the reference range.
How Yumizen Can Assist: On the DIFF scattergram, we observe the presence of atypical lymphocytes and immature lymphocytic cells from the CLL. On the Baso histogram, we observe the presence of mixed large cells on the right of the curve, which correspond to the abnormal form cells of the CLL.
