Globally, CO2 emissions from the production process of cement and concrete amount to approximately 2.6 billion tons per year. This figure accounts for approximately 8%* of total global CO2 emissions. Companies are promoting the reduction of fossil fuel use by implementing energy-saving technologies and upgrades at various stages of the conventional process, including raw materials preparation, burning, and finishing.
