Test Engineer - 12 months Contract

We are recruiting a Test Engineer to join our Electrification and Environmental team at Quatro Park, Basildon. The role is responsible for delivering customer electrification test programmes, supporting the planning, execution and reporting of test activities in line with quality, safety and customer requirements.

You will work within a multi‑disciplinary test environment, managing test activities and applying engineering judgement to solve customer testing challenges.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and deliver customer test programmes from quotation through to final report
  • Plan and execute tests in accordance with customer requirements, international standards and QHSE processes
  • Apply engineering expertise to develop test methodologies, procedures, rigs and fixtures
  • Work collaboratively across test disciplines within the Quatro Park facility
  • Produce test documentation including risk assessments, reports and supporting records
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test capability and ways of working

 

 

What you'll need:

 

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline 
  • Practical experience in a test or engineering laboratory environment
  • Familiarity with test instrumentation, data acquisition and use of hand tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with internal and external customers
  • Flexibility to support shift working when required

Please note:

 

  • This is a 12-month contract Inside IR35
  • This role is to be paid up to £32 p/hr inclusive of holiday pay - based on skills and experience.
  • The role is working 39 hours a week
  • Some shift working/overtime maybe required - an allowance will be paid accordingly in line with agency worker regulations
