FTIR Exhaust Gas Analyzer for Dilute Emissions Measurement

Measuring diluted exhaust can require engineers to monitor numerous regulated and unregulated compounds at low concentrations while keeping the results synchronized throughout a test cycle. The FTX-ONE-CL provides accurate, simultaneous measurement of up to 28 components in diluted engine exhaust, including nitrogen compounds, greenhouse gases, aldehydes, alcohols and hydrocarbons.

Using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and multivariate analysis, the analyzer consolidates multi-component measurement into one compact system. Its 5 Hz sampling rate captures changing concentrations during transient engine and vehicle tests, helping development teams investigate emissions behavior without coordinating data from multiple individual analyzers.

Designed for integration with constant volume sampling and test automation systems, the FTX-ONE-CL supports diluted-exhaust mass calculations. Its low sampling flow rate minimizes the amount of gas withdrawn from the bag line, while its compact footprint provides greater flexibility for installation in new and existing laboratories.

As part of HORIBA ONE PLATFORM, the FTX-ONE-CL can be integrated with other compatible HORIBA measurement systems through a common user interface. This enables centralized control, monitoring and management of emissions measurement equipment while supporting consistent laboratory operation and future system expansion.

Low Sampling Flow Rate

The FTX-ONE-CL minimizes the amount of sample required from the diluted exhaust measurement system.

  • Approximately 1.0 L/min sampling flow from the bag line
  • Approximately 3.0 L/min sampling flow from the continuous line
  • Reduces sample withdrawal from bags during analysis
  • Facilitates integration into existing diluted exhaust and bag-sampling systems
