Particle size is often just one part of the story. While laser diffraction (LD) provides rapid, robust particle size distributions across a wide size range, dynamic image analysis (DIA) reveals particle shape, morphology, and population characteristics that can significantly impact product performance.
In this webinar, Dr. Anderson Bonon from HORIBA will explore the complementary strengths of LD and DIA and discuss why their results may sometimes differ. Using the HORIBA Partica®, which combines both techniques in a single platform, we will demonstrate how integrated particle characterization can provide deeper application insight, accelerate method development, and improve confidence in formulation, process, and quality decisions. Real-world examples will highlight how combining size and shape measurements helps scientists gain a more complete understanding of their materials.
What You Will Learn:
- The fundamental principles and advantages of laser diffraction and dynamic image analysis
- Why particle size results from different techniques may differ and how to interpret them
- How particle shape, morphology, and agglomeration impact characterization results
- How integrated LD and DIA measurements can improve method development and data confidence
Who Should Attend:
- Scientists and engineers working in particle characterization and materials analysis
- Formulation and product development professionals
- Quality control and quality assurance specialists
- Process development and manufacturing teams seeking deeper insight into particulate materials
