In 2023, HORIBA celebrated the 70th anniversary of establishment. To mark this significant year, we spent a few years for global discussions about HORIBA’s future to continue providing values to our society and stated “Our Future” (Vision, Mission, and Values) focusing on our 100th anniversary. The Vision is “Joy and Fun for All.” This Vision expresses our desire to create a sustainable society where all lives can live a fulfilled life through “HONMAMON*1” measuring technology. This has been pursued based on our corporate motto, “Joy and Fun.”
With “Our Future,” HORIBA's solutions are expanding the scope to include global environmental conservation, the health of diverse life forms, and technological innovation for a better future. The Mid-Long Term Management Plan 2028 (MLMAP2028), which has a target year of 2028, focuses on three fields in particular: Energy & Environment, Bio & Healthcare, and Materials & Semiconductor, with the aim of providing analysis and measurement solutions that help to solve social issues.
HORIBA believes that “people” are the most important asset of a company. In 2012, we announced “Mental and Physical Health Promotion Declaration” for group companies in Japan and established our action guidelines to maintain and promote the mental and physical health of HORIBARIANs*2. Furthermore, in 2014, the “HORIBA Stained Glass Project” was launched to bring the diverse personalities and talents of HORIBARIANs to shine through. We will continue to place the highest priority on the physical and mental health of our employees and promote health management to improve the working environment, while creating a global stage where all HORIBARIANs can maximize their diversity and play an active role.
Our Sustainability strategy is one of the new key pillars of MLMAP2028. HORIBA will promote business activities to create a sustainable society by utilizing our products and technologies, as well as actively work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at our global sites and within our supply chain. In addition to our commitment to carbon neutrality, we will also contribute to education passing on the fun and dreams of science and technology to future generations by utilizing HORIBA's measurement technology and knowledge. We are proud utilizing our experience in educational activities to convey the importance of analysis and measurement in education.
HORIBA is promoting a range of initiatives under our Vision “Joy and Fun for All.” HORIBA believes that the solution to many of these social issues begins with measurement technology. HORIBA will keep contributing to the creation of a world in which all life can live “Joy and Fun” by providing “HONMAMON” solutions with diverse HORIBARIANs taking ownership.
