Titanium (Ti) alloy is used for applications in aircraft, medicine, and other fields due to its light weight, high strength, high corrosion resistance, high biological compatibility, and other properties. However, because titanium materials tend to store hydrogen (endothermic reaction), material design and production control must be implemented for preventing hydrogen embrittlement.
For this reason, customers asked us for a technique for quantitative analysis of hydrogen content in titanium alloys on a scale of several ppm to several tens of ppm.
It takes only a few minutes for quantitative analysis of low-concentration hydrogen content in Titanium alloys!
Analysis of carbon contained in bone substitute material
Titanium alloy sample | Sample weight (g) | Hydrogen (ppm) |
---|---|---|
A | 0.09999 | 2.777 |
B | 0.10231 | 6.991 |
C | 0.10379 | 15.356 |

After entering presets (measurement conditions and sample names), operation simply requires loading of the sample and pressing of the start button. The analysis process is completed in several minutes.
This led us to develop our hydrogen analyzer for enabling quick and easy quantitative analysis of low-concentration hydrogen, and it has served as a useful tool for our customers.
