Analysis of Coating Differences between RLD and Generic Pellets with Raman Spectroscopy
Discover how Raman imaging evaluates coating consistency and layer structure in enteric pellet coatings between branded and generic drugs.
Raman imaging combined with Layers app enables rapid and non-constructive layer analysis for delayed-release formulations. In this application note, the coating differences between a reference listed drug (RLD) and its generic counterpart were compared, achieving a preliminary evaluation of the generic pellets and providing solutions for identifying differences of component and layer thickness in coating consistency assessment.
