This application note presents the use of Raman microscopy for drug qualification through rapid chemical analysis and characterization of pharmaceutical tablets. In collaboration with Zentiva, high-throughput Raman measurements were performed using the HORIBA LabRAM Soleil™ Raman microscope, integrating SmartSampling™ and SWIFT™ technologies to accelerate chemical mapping while preserving spectral quality and spatial resolution. This approach enables efficient identification and distribution analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and excipients within tablet formulations. The non-destructive methodology supports faster and more comprehensive quality control workflows, addressing regulatory requirements throughout pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
