Since 1997, HORIBA has supported Kyoto Sanga F.C., J League’s Kyoto-based professional soccer team, and its activities as a sponsor. In addition, Atsushi Horiba has served as chairman of the Kyoto Purple Sanga Cheering Group, the team's supporters’ association, since the group was organized in 1996. In this way, HORIBA has deepened its exchanges with local people mainly through support of the team and soccer events. In the future, based on these support activities, we will strive to help develop sound youths and enliven Kyoto's communities.
HORIBA considers the growth of talented personnel and the attitude of taking on new challenges to be important. In order to develop the next generation of capable personnel, in accordance with our corporate philosophy “Open & Fair,” we actively support our employees with an environment that enables them to take on new challenges as they aspire to realize their dreams.

After being a classical ballet dancer as a child, Agu has applied herself to archery since her junior high school days. As a high school student, she set the national recurve record for high school girls (660 points / 72 arrows) at the time. In September 2020, she was the driving force behind the Doshisha University team, which she was the captain of, helping them to win the All Japan Student Archery Women's Championship. She was among the contenders at the last selection event for the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo, in which she made efforts to participate, but narrowly missed out.
Having joined HORIBA to make a renewed start as an archer, at the final selection of the 19th Asian Games, she was selected for the Japan national team in April 2022, then she won the gold medal in Women's Recurve Individual Final of PARIS 2022 HYUNDAI ARCHERY WORLD CUP STAGE 3 in June 2022. It is the first time in history that a Japanese player has won the same event in the World Cup! She is committed to both competition and work and continues to challenge the world.
