Hybrid Raman

The detailed chemical and molecular information that Raman can offer is widely acknowledged.  In combination with other relevant analytical methods Raman can become still more powerful, by combining multiple analyses and offering complementary information on a single benchtop platform.

HORIBA Scientific offers a range of hybrid Raman systems:

Raman-FTIR

Combined Infra-Red (FTIR) and confocal Raman microscopes offer complete vibrational characterisation on a single analytical platform. SameSpot™ technology ensures both Raman and FTIR analysis is made from the same sample position.

Raman-AFM and TERS

Fully integrated systems combining HORIBA Raman technology with scanning probe microscopes from leading manufacturers, adding chemical characterization to the range of nano-imaging capabilities of SPM. Tip-Enhanced Raman (TERS)-ready solutions also open the door to label-free chemical imaging at the nanoscale.

Raman-PL

Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy allows characterisation of a material’s electronic state – combination with the vibrational characterisation afforded by Raman gives comprehensive materials analysis on a single system, whilst retaining the benefits of confocal microscopy.

Raman-Epifluorescence

Combined Raman-Epifluorescence allows fast identification of regions of interest using traditional biological imaging, followed by detailed chemical analysis through Raman.
