Procedure to Test Standard ASTM SRB 9D with SA-9650

Certified standards are commonly used to verify accuracy and proper operation of instruments. One of the Reference Materials from ASTM Committee D24, Carbon Black, is a carbon black which has been designated “Standard Reference Black 9D (SRB 9D).” This carbon black is intended for the calibration and performance testing of instruments used for the determination of the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) specific surface area (SSA).
