On November 12, 2025, HORIBA Vietnam Company Limited (hereinafter HORIBA Vietnam) partnered with the Innovative Materials Research Center of the School of Materials Science and Engineering (SMSE), Hanoi University of Science and Technology, to co-host a seminar titled “Introduction to Analytical Instruments in Materials Research.”
The seminar was organized to provide students and young researchers with hands-on exposure to advanced analytical instruments widely used in materials science. By connecting academic knowledge with industrial applications, we aimed to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers to explore innovative technologies for their research and careers. The seminar welcomed around 20 participants, most of whom were mid-and-final-year students. The seminar covered the following key topics:
The Q&A session was dynamic, with students asking thoughtful questions about both theory and practical applications. For most students, this seminar marked their first introduction to HORIBA and its technologies. “This was my first time learning about Raman scattering in such detail. It helped me understand how spectroscopy can be applied in real research,” one student shared.
HORIBA Vietnam looks forward to supporting more workshops, training sessions, and joint research projects with SMSE, helping students gain practical skills and confidence in using advanced analytical tools.
