Flow cytometry and automated cell counters use light scattering to count cells and measure their size, providing information on cell growth and proliferation. HORIBA is currently using the ATEEM™ Fluorescence technology via the Aqualog, to monitor cell culture quality and to ensure that some of the components that are less sensitive to traditional in-line techniques are present in sufficient concentration for optimal cell growth.
