LAQUAシリーズ第3弾として、耐久性を追求したポータブル型水質分析計”LAQUAact(ラクアアクト)”を開発した。従来のpH計はアルコール耐性が低く、消毒が必要な食品工場などで使用できなかった。またガラスを溶解させるフッ酸やアルカリ試料の場合、電極寿命が短いことが問題だった。これらの問題を解決するために、筐体素材に高アルコール耐性のポリカーボネートを採用したpH計と、希土類元素を加えて骨格構造を強化したpHガラス応答膜を開発した。その結果、従来の物理的衝撃への高い耐久性に加えて耐薬品性を向上させたポータブル型pH計と、長寿命のフッ酸用とアルカリ用pH電極が実現できた。本稿では、これらに加えて低電気伝導率水用pH電極の特長とアプリケーションを紹介する。
We developed a new portable meter and pH electrodes LAQUAact. It is difficult to use previous portable pH meters in food factory where the portable meter need to be disinfected with alcohol due to low chemical resistance. A pH electrode also has short lifetime in hydrofluoric acid and alkali solutions. In order to solve these problems, we developed new portable meter and pH electrodes which have a high chemical-resistant. There are two main improvement points. First is the development of an outer package of the portable meter which consists of high chemical-resistant polycarbonate plastic. Second is the development of new pH glass membranes included any rare-earth element to realize a high durability. In this paper, we show features and applications of the new pH meter and pH electrodes.
